GONG XI FA CAI! It's chinese new year again!
Every single year, during this period of time, people are preparing to decorate their house with all those blessing - lian and fu. No exception, my dad brought us to Chinatown to shop for all the cny goodies. It's always crowded in Chinatown, packed with Chinese and also Indians. They also came to join the season. I must say i really enjoyed walking down the so-called pasar malam stalls. so many sample to try and lotsa of things to buy, haha! & the atmosphere is so lively and vibrant. love it!

Bai-nian is always enjoyable when there's angbaos to get. Afterwhich, the whole family would just sit down in front of the TV and watch the funny variety shows and movies. i still like Kungfu Hustle the best. during sitting down, it's never possible to runaway from the questions from my relatives. like "When you intending to go after polytechnic?", "When you graduating?", "What are your grades like?" I've been hearing alot of these kind of questions since from the start of reunion dinner. It's not annoying, just tired of repeating. haha! but i know they are just concern about me. (: & i can't wait to open my angbaos! :D

&& Uncle says want to go Taiwan at the end of next month. Yeahyeah! I'm praying that he's going to fulfill what he said. :DD

this week has been madness for me. i've truckloads of projects to rush. it like never-ending. & finally, i could squeeze out some time for my abandoned blog. i was away from leisure time since the start of this week. before that, life was really less hectic. not to mention Hongkong again. it was as usual, really cold and freezing when i went there. just to track back my trip. it was ever more fun than last time. the more i go back, the more "unusual" fun i got. & i really miss mom now. ):

my four months of attachment in Imaginet has ended last friday.
indeed, time flies really fast.
i can clearly remember the first time i stepped into the company.
so unfamiliar and strange.
furthermore, i was intimidated by the colleagues there.
they look really fierce and scary the first time.
but now, i missed it.
especially the times where me and yy will start bickering with each other
or 'suan-ing' our supervisor. but of course, it's just for fun.
and not forgetting, sushido. "have you wipe your mouth?"
hahaha!
from this attachment, friendships were made rather than just a colleague to colleague relationships.
although first time i really detest to go to work, but now it've turned into an unforgettable experience.
i've learnt a lot of things there, especially Revit. a thousand more than what i learnt in
school.
& it's been really a good time there.
of course, there are ups and downs. but people doesn't enjoy every single moments, right...
nonetheless, i'm grateful for this opportunity to work there. hope the next batch will enjoy themselves there.

this is real, this is me.

have been to St Regis Hotel for the past two days.
because michelle & cliff's company had a conference held there.
at first, upon hearing the name, i thought it was some 'trying-to-be-class' hotel. but it was actually a six stars hotel!!
no larh, actually there's no six stars rating.
the best is only five stars. so was just trying to be exaggerating. haha!
despite all the five stars facilities, i still loveee the bathroom the best!! the size of its bathroom is almost the same as my own bedroom. bathtub with tv, where you can bathe and watch tv at the same time. two sinks with a dressing table, shower area that allow water splashing to massage your back. yea, it was really a wholesome bathroom experience for me. the rest is also great, plasma tv and a classy sofa. i pray for such a room. haha!

back from camp! wee~

i miss the camp so much. it feels like PLMGS belongs to me now.

haha! it's indeed fun, FUN, FFUUNN!

my first overnight camp with GT.

Superb! (:

throughout the whole camp,

you can see those scenes in Resident Evil.

that's right, walking zombie.

haha! it was all due to the lack of sleep.

but we still enjoy it lots.

the activities were sure Crazy.

all the running around and shouting.

it was Pure Madness from the first day to the last day.

Besides all those fun stuff in the camp,

God was also present everytime and everywhere.

this camp really taught me how to really depend on Him,

rather than depending on myself.

& also giving me different opportunity to serve Him.

i learnt alot and got alot from it.

For those who don't know what is the most HITO

news that is happening on earth right now.

its's the SICHUAN DEADLY EARTHQUAKE!

a used-to be a picturesque town with beautiful scenery

one night, it turns into a dead, ruined town.

millions of Chinese were killed by this magnitude

of 7.9 earthquake on this Monday.

pile of bodies were being found under

big concrete slabs or bricks.

death toll keeps rising up after that.

mourning are been heard everywhere.

it pains to hear and read about the articles.

After reading it, i felt so saddened

thinking why sometimes the world is so unfair that

but nobody can stop natural disaster.

however, through this BIG incident, i truly learnt

CNY Celebration...

on the second day of Chinese New Year,
had dim sum breakfast with my daddy's primary classmates. it's been a tradition that on the second day of Chinese New Year, my daddy's primary classmates will meet together and chitchat. moreover, it's not just one or two families that come, but ten families. and you can see that many hongbaos will be collected. haha! however, it's so good to see them, meeting up with each other till this age.

After the whole Bai Nian, met Suqin for a long reunion hangout at TCC. it's been so many months since i go out with Suqin. miss the days of laughter and jokes of one another. (:

daddy ask me to keep a watch in the night. saying it's some tradition that if the children stay awake in the night till the next morning, their parents will have longer life. i find it hilarious and stewdpid, 'cos it seems to make no sense at all. no sleeping doesn't has any link with longer life. totally no connection between the two. mmm, i'm thinking who's the one coming up with all those weird theory? i guess that person has nothing better to do in his/her life, huh.

however, at this moment, i can clearly hear my sister sleeping soundly on the bed, behind me. while i'm here, pouring out my grievances. so unfair! =[

Chinese New Year is coming! wee~
it seems like yesterday that i celebrate cny. time past by so fast that i could not even get hold of it. nonetheless, i'm glad that i ended 2007 with a smile to it. although last year was fulled with ups and downs, struggles upon struggles, but i'm delighted that i grew so much from it. of course, i thanked God for being there with me. without Him, i won't be the real Isabel this day. (:

2008, yes! 8 stands for new beginning. a new start to everything, from the inside out. i'm convicted to change. no matter how many comments or spoken words i recieved or heard, i'm still happy that i get to know it, acknowledge it. like what pastor Tan says, change doesn't happens at that point of time, it takes time. for me, i don't know how long will it takes. but i know the day will come someday, soon. & i can't wait for the day to come. haha! Actually, I'm in the midst of doing my project now. however, i can't stop but taking a break from those stressful project loads. & here I am, blogging. haha!

last Saturday, it was service with Pastor Kong. and that day he preached about the message, "Faith". it was a really powerful service that day. the presence of God is so tangible and strong. people was heard, manifesting. indeed, God moved through an atmosphere of Faith. ((:

After the whole service, Michelle announced the winner of the bible quiz test for January. it was E458 first bible quiz and the first bible quiz on the year 2008. i was anticipating in hearing the results. and to my suprise, i topped the quiz. however, ultimately, Jonathan lim should be the one. he got the highest, but due to his late doing of the test. 5marks was deducted. so in the end, i won the prize. the prize was Christian City Church's Album. Yeah! i want it so much and finally, i got it. ((: Praise the Lord!

before the service, E458 with Cindy Leong's cell group, E457 and Cliff's cellgroup, N266, organised an evangelistic event. we've shi zhi lu kou, treasure hunt and amazing race from aljunied to expo. it was tiring yet fun. my team, group 2, in the end, emerged and won the game! my cell group E458 planned for a farewell meeting before my sister and i left to Hongkong. we've dinner and desert together in Bugis. times spent together was appreciated, Thanks! (:

lastly, my bunch of girlfriends came to send me off from the airport on that day. they were so sweet and i'm so guilty to let them wait for an hour. Thanks, girls! :D

Christmas service is WONDERFUL! :D It's been one week since i didn't attend service, due to my trip to HongKong. Nevertheless, i still felt God so near me. (: The whole drama story and the candlelight were awesome! Laughter and tears. The whole church was surrounded by God's prescence.

Last sunday was the last day of Uthnited Challenge. This implies that November has ended and December is here. In a blink of eye, Uthnited Challenge has ended. and Christmas is coming. Couldn't imagine it. However, God is still good. Growth still continues in the cell group. ((: The last Uthnited Challenge event was at Sentosa. The game ICs organise a series of games - Spongebob squarepants sentosa. It was fun, although i started joining the game on the second half. Frisbee, shampoo, muachi, and etc. haha! i had truckloads of FUN & LAUGHTER! although my cell group didn't win the Ben&Jerry's ice-cream voucher, but we had gain unity and love within each other. it's raining cats and dogs this afternoon. splattering of rain and thunderstorm were everywhere. and poor me, i was caught in the rain. blame myself for not bringing an umbrella. i was totally drenched. water was seen dripping down from my hair and clothes. i never been so pathetic in my life before. it's hard to imagine, but it was hilarious. HAHA!

after so many months and days, i finally catch a movie with my friends - Sharon, Wankian & Qiyin! :DD this movie outing has been planned since the start of the November for me. so it'll be quite hard to postpone if i want to. if i do that, i assume I'll see them holding an axe and hack me from the head. okay, i sound quite scary here. however, i enjoy their company today.

we head down to Orchard for the show, "30 days of Nights". okay, first, this show is Super Panicking. a great show to test your heart. alot of grueling scenes. bloods and bodies, and more blood and bodies. eeks! and Josh Hartnet, he is so MAN! can't believe he changed so much. his build and his facial appearance and, of course, his age. anyway, his role in the show is so touching. a sacrifice for his loved ones. a great role! (: overall, the show was alright.

Today is My Special Day! :DD
i'm ELATED to meet my friends for my birthday celebration today! although it was just a simple outing with lots of talks and laughter, i actually enjoyed it a lot. especially seeing BAOZHEN after more than 6 months without any meet-ups. she has changed from her personality to her appearance. i must say she's getting prettier. Ha! went Swensen to have dinner. it's been ages since i've actually ate with my secondary friends. some of my cgmates were there too. i enjoyed their company so much. the best thing in Swensen was the free ice-cream for the birthday boy/girl. Ha! i got it! free 3 scopes of ice-cream. Ha!
after the whole dinner, we went Wisma's starbucks to eat my birthday cake which Joshua had bought. it was YUMMY! i love cakes. especially dark chocolate cakes. it's my favourite kind of cakes other than cheesecakes. ((: i totally love THIS DAY! Ha! it's full of smiles, loves, friends & cakes! it's 12 mins before it ends. and i'm still eating tiramisu cake which my dad had bought for me. that's how sweet of him. Ha! argh, how i wish tomorrow never comes. times flies so fast especially when i'm having truckloads of fun. nonetheless, it's my best birthday celebration so far.

it was a day on Mint, museum of Toys at last tuesday. sharon, wankian, gilda & i went there for a field trip assignment for our school report. yicks, i totally detest writing REPORTS! anyway, i still force myself to went down with them.
met them at city hall first, then walk down to Raffles Hotel for the ladies. the ladies was elegance and classy with strong aroma of lavender. after we took a few minutes in there, we head our way down to the museum.
the museum has a unique entrance, with a long slope in front of the cashier. okay, some people might not find it unique, but it was weird to me. yea, back to the story. pay our admission fees after a 15% discount for students. and the jouney embarked.
we started out at the last floor first which is the 5th floor, then slowly 4-3-2-1. there were lots and lots of toys; varying from ancient to modern, robots to dolls, jap-characters toys to english-characters toys, and more. i specially LOVE the cartoons network characters. e.g tom and jerry, tintin, etc. they were so CUTE! how i wish i can bring them home. ): however, most of the time, all of us were busy taking spastic photos with the facilities there. ha! we enjoyed snapping. ((: somehow, we seems to forget the main purpose of going there. ha! a'las, we finished the whole musuem. talked with the manager about the toys before leaving. it was sure FUNFUNFUN! it was not a bad trip afterall. i guess it's the photo-takings that has changed my mind. (:

it's the first day of school today. & i simply can't wait for school to end again. argh. my class has changed again. and this time round, its me and sharon being switched to another class. a class which i should be in the last sem. & this sem they put me back again. after so long, i finally got a new hairstyle!
i can vividly remember that i've been saying for it since first half of 2007. and woah! at last, after a long waiting, i got it. (: at this point of time, i'm in love with my new look. although it seems funny when i first saw myself in the mirror, but gradually i got used to it. infact, i really like it alot now. the weather is so unpredictable nowadays. it can be raining at one time, and sunny at the other time. makes me fickle between shades or umbrella? jacket or cap? it really had been a hard time choosing my clothes. nonetheless, the cool breeze after and during the rain makes me snoozy. makes me want to immediately jump into the cozy bed of mine to have a good sleep. thank God for the rain. (: as it had been a long time since i ever want to have a cushy and undisturbed rest. a late night sleeper as usual. and i guess its time to kick off this habit soon before school starts... ... @_@

yeah! i finally got to taste the donuts from 'Donuts Factory'. woohoo~ my dream has come true! (: yeah, i did dreamt of myself eating the donuts from that place. haha! weird dreams i got uh.. anyway, huizhen and i went down to queue for it after our wasted trip to Jurong East Swimming Complex yesterday. we intended to go swimming there because of the slides, wave pool, jacuzzi, etc. but in the end, it turns out that most of the facilities is under maintenance. urgh..
however, God is still good. at the end of the day, we managed to queue for 20plus minutes for the donuts. haha! ((:

last wednesday(12/09) was TRP outreach camp. To support our own cluster, huizhen, joshua and i head down to sentosa beach. and furthermore, we could get ourselves more expose to other harvesters in TP. To a shock, i never knew that there were so many harvesters in TP. i am amazed. ((:

had truckloads of fun and games. there were human monopoly, war games and other games which i have forgotten its names. it was a time of enjoyment! not forgetting to mention that i have known quite a few of new friends and... old friends. haha! enjoyed myself that day. (:

this video is touching and heart-felt. it's about a man who gone missing after he went out to sea. & his wife and daughter were left alone waiting for his husband/father's news. but in the end, he never return.

imagine the person you love has left you, you dont know where they are and they might never come back. the worst of all is every thing around you reminds you of them, flash backs of them when you sat here and cuddled or had dinner etc. its the worst pain ever. if the person has gone to heaven, then we gotta live with the fact that we will never ever see them again. from this, i learnt that the one suffering is always the one living on Earth. despite of them are the one leaving. how unfair.

Cg multiplication cg was held from the 31st october to 4th september.
And yes. N337 has multiplied to E458, the new cellgroup by Michelle. Woots!
And i am in the new cell group with her. & i believe God have great plans for this new cellgroup. and i can't wait for Him to reveal to us. ((: i am gonna do my very best for Him!
On the other hand, it's quite painful to leave N337. this walk in N337 is full with laughters and tears, up and downs. thus, it is so unforgettable and memorable.
but i am sure God has placed us with great destiny in that particular cellgroup. so let us work hard together for the One we loved & bring glory to Him. ((:

for good, my course has organised an excursion trip on last saturday.
i felt unexciting about the trip. firstly, i had to wake up super early and secondly, we would not be able to head down to the beaches. urgh. what a bore!

suprisingly, after the whole trip, i was in love with SENTOSA, especially sentosa cove.
an uptown area, i can say. streets of bungalows with different design and parking lot for yachts.
ever see that before? its spectacular, man. i love that place! pray hard that i am able to grab a place there for attachment. haha.

of course, we didn't missed our chance to take a look at the resorts there. and we managed to enter Amara hotel & resort. this resort was grandious and modern! with lots of up to date modern technology. in addition, they have villas in their resorts. and it was lavish. with private pool, outdoor bath and even an outdoor bed. furthermore, customers are able to take any fruits from any fruit trees located in their villas for free. woah, where on earth could i find another this sort of resorts? (:

mmm, i must grab hold a place for myself in Sentosa during attachment. i don't care! haha.
